About the event
The Civic Circuit is proud to announce its hosting its very first Global Solutions Challenge! We are looking for students who are passionate about technology and policymaking to participate in our competition! Approach the problem from any angle, from coding to policy, stem to economics, design to humanities, the opportunities are endless.
The competition will focus on addressing natural disasters in British Columbia. British Columbia’s coast is densely populated and, due to nearby forests and increasingly volatile climate change, residents routinely experience natural disasters such as forest fires, floods, landslides, and occasionally more extreme issues. Your team has been appointed as a "Special Task Force” and is tasked with proposing a high-impact solution that addresses one or more critical aspects of the disaster scenario. Teams are not expected to solve the entire crisis, but to focus on a meaningful, feasible, and innovative intervention.
